Questions & Answers

Q. What kind of positions, and what type of companies do you have positions for?

A. We focus primarily on mid-career to executive level engineer, supply chain, production/plant/operations management, quality and marketing disciplines in nearly all manufacturing industries, and for marketing and supply chain/purchasing disciplines, some service based companies. Our primary client base includes plastics, metal fabrication, powdered metals/alloys, electronics, all types of original equipment manufacturing (OEM), original engineered products, consumer goods / consumer packaged goods (CPG) and some food and beverage manufacturing.

However, we are client-driven, meaning that if one of our clients asks us to do a search for a position outside of our focus disciplines, we will conduct that search. This creates openings for many other disciplines, commonly including accounting/finance, sales, human resources and account management.

Q. I am not interested in relocating. Do you have any local opportunities for me?

A. Conducting a local search simply reduces the number of potential opportunities that we may be able to connect you with. At the same time, since our clients have locations throughout the U.S., your next career move may be through our connections!

Q. I have not needed to complete a form or assessment before. Why do I need to complete your form?

A. We require all of our candidates to complete our pre-search assessment as the first step in our process. Not only does the questionnaire provide valuable information that our staff refers to many times over in the search and presentation processes, but it also provides essential information to even begin our search. What is motivating your current search, your compensation expectations and career aspirations are as essential to finding your next successful career move as core competencies, industry background and education. The difference is that your expectations and goals are not on your resume!

Q. Why should I invest my time in completing your profile form – after all, you won't guarantee me a job!

A. It is true that thoroughly completing our profile will take you between 15 to 45 minutes of your time, and we truly appreciate that your time is valuable. In fact, we count on the fact that your time is valuable! Since our service is completely free to candidates, we consider the time you put into our assessment as the initial investment we require for our services. If you care enough about your career search to invest the time it takes to complete our profile, we will know that you are committed to your search and therefore committed to reviewing the opportunities we can present you with.

You are correct, we cannot guarantee you a job. What we can guarantee is that we can open up a network of contacts that consist of hiring authorities and executive recruiters that you would not necessarily have access to otherwise, thus increasing the number of opportunities you have access to. Remember that many of our positions are exclusive, and you would not know of, nor have access to these job openings without our services.

Q. I've searched your Web site, and I don't see any listings in my preferred location(s).

A. First, thank you for visiting our Web site and please check back frequently, as listings on our job board change frequently. Next, our Web site only represents an average of 40 to 60% of our open positions at any time; it is certainly possible that we have positions that match your field of work and search preferences that are not posted on our site. Once you complete our Pre-Search Profile, we will be searching for opportunities from our entire database for you on a regular basis.

Q. I am conducting a confidential search. How do you handle this type of search?

A. All of our candidate information is handled confidentially. Your information is not shared with a potential employer unless you have been contacted first. Information provided, and gathered via reference checking is handled with the utmost respect and only shared if permission is given. If you are conducting a confidential search, we will have a discussion with you that will include how we will present your information to potential employers, which references may be contacted without compromising the confidential nature of your search, and other details pertaining to the release of your information in the pre-qualifying, screening and hiring processes.
